With more than 40 years of experience in General and Laparoscopic Surgery, I have always believed that excellence in healthcare is built upon strong academic knowledge, practical experience, ethical practice, and a genuine commitment to patient care. These principles have guided my professional journey and continue to shape the institutions established with this vision.

My academic and professional journey includes MBBS and MS (General Surgery), along with prestigious fellowships including FRCS (Fellows of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh) and FICS (Fellow of the International College of Surgeons, London). These fellowships reflect a long-standing commitment to professional development and excellence in surgical practice. I have also been honoured with the Jharkhand Ratna Award in recognition of my contributions to medicine, healthcare, and society.

As the Founder and Chairman of Alam Hospital & Research Centre, Ranchi, I have had the privilege of seeing a vision grow into a comprehensive healthcare institution. What began as a modest healthcare initiative has developed into a 150+ bed multispecialty tertiary-care hospital, supported by modern infrastructure, advanced medical technology, comprehensive critical-care services, and a team of qualified doctors, surgeons, clinicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals.

As the Head of the Department of General & Laparoscopic Surgery, I have performed thousands of surgical procedures across a wide range of specialties. My clinical experience encompasses general and minimally invasive surgery, gastrointestinal and colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, trauma and emergency surgery, breast surgery, vascular procedures, proctology, diabetic foot and chronic wound management, and other advanced laparoscopic procedures. This includes procedures such as laparoscopic cholecystectomy, appendectomy, hernia repair, diagnostic laparoscopy, and complex Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB) procedures, including pancreatic and oesophageal surgery.

Throughout my career, I have remained committed to clinical excellence, evidence-based practice, surgical precision, ethical medical care, and compassionate service. I believe that every healthcare professional carries a responsibility not only to treat patients with competence, but also to serve them with dignity, empathy, and respect.

My vision has always been to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable, while maintaining high standards of medical practice. Over the years, Alam Hospital & Research Centre has served patients from across Jharkhand as well as neighbouring states, including Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Uttar Pradesh. The trust placed in our institution by patients and families continues to inspire us to strengthen the quality and accessibility of healthcare services.

Beyond clinical practice, I have always believed in contributing to society through initiatives that expand access to healthcare and education. For me, healthcare is more than a profession – it is a responsibility towards the community. This belief continues to guide our efforts to create opportunities for both better healthcare and better healthcare education.

Building the Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals

I firmly believe that the future of healthcare depends on the quality of professionals we prepare today. This belief led to the establishment of IDEAL School of Nursing and IDEAL Academy of Paramedical Science.

At IDEAL School of Nursing, our focus is on preparing competent, compassionate, and professionally trained nursing professionals. The institution offers General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) and B.Sc. Nursing programs, combining academic learning with extensive clinical exposure to help students develop the knowledge, skills, confidence, and professional values required in modern healthcare.

To further strengthen the healthcare workforce, I founded IDEAL Academy of Paramedical Science with a vision to develop skilled paramedical professionals across diverse healthcare disciplines. The Academy combines academic education with practical, hospital-based training, giving students meaningful exposure to clinical environments, modern medical equipment, healthcare professionals, and real-world practices.

Our approach is based on a simple principle: healthcare professionals are developed through knowledge, experience, discipline, and continuous learning. That is why we strive to create an educational environment where students can connect what they learn in the classroom with practical clinical experience.

At IDEAL Academy, our goal extends beyond academic qualifications. We aim to develop professionals who are technically competent, confident, ethical, compassionate, and prepared to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
